Surgery at Western Health in 2016 takes place across three main campuses – Footscray Hospital, Sunshine Hospital and Williamstown Hospital and many clinical staff work across sites.
At the time of publication, 107 surgical and 50 anaesthetic consultants were providing clinical services within Western Health. They are among several thousand staff at Western Health – nurses, allied health, theatre technicians, health support staff, imaging, bookings, pre-admission, outpatients, rehabilitation, staff working in Western Health’s community services - who are involved, directly or indirectly, in supporting surgical patients.
